En ella descubrirás cómo las plumas han sido, a lo largo de la historia, símbolos de belleza, identidad, poder y canal de conexión entre lo divino y lo terreno en diferentes culturas. Conocerás cómo eso ha llevado a algunas de ellas a generar estragos en algunas especies. Con ese imaginario verás la retrospectiva de mi obra desde otro punto de vista, contextualizando mi manera de transformar la naturaleza en arte y comprendiendo mejor porqué hago lo que hago y cómo lo hago. Exhibition at the National Museum of Natural Sciences in Madrid, curated by Rosario Monte’s and Borja Milá. Here, you will discover how, throughout history, feathers have been symbols of beauty, identity, and power, as well as a means of connecting the divine with the earthly across different cultures. You will also learn how these cultural meanings have contributed to the exploitation of certain species. Against this backdrop, you will encounter a retrospective of my work from a different perspective, placing my practice of transforming nature into art within its broader cultural and historical context, and gaining a deeper understanding of why I do what I do and how I do it.
